When I Was in Kindergarten

It seemed in Kindergarten

I had my whole life planned out

Down to the T

What job I would have

What type of car I'd drive

Everything

When I was 5

I wanted to be a race car driver

Not just any race car driver

But a NASCAR Driver

I now want to be an author

When I was 5

I told myself I’d get my permit

On my 15th birthday

I got it a week after

When I was 5

I told myself I’d get my license

On my 16th birthday

I will be 19 in a month

And still no license

When I was 5

I pictured my high school

Graduation

I counted down the days

Everything

And now that high schools

Over

Its time to join the real world

When I was 5

I didn’t really picture

My first job

I always pictured my dream job

I think it would probably

Have been at a car lot

Instead I was a office assistant/receptionist

When I was 5

I had my whole life in front of me

I planned everything

I wanted to do

I don’t think much of it came true
